More than 100 entrepreneurs gathered on May 26 in the unique VIP area of Arena Zabrze—the stadium of one of Poland’s most successful soccer clubs, Górnik Zabrze. This venue, with its rich history of sporting achievements (14-time Polish Champion and 7-time Polish Cup winner), served as inspiration for forging valuable relationships, exchanging experiences, and opening up new opportunities for business collaboration.

In 2025, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice organized over 120 events. This year’s event calendar is just as packed, and most importantly, the Chamber’s events continue to attract steady interest and always draw a large number of engaged participants. The same was true in Zabrze at a meeting of companies affiliated with the Chamber and entrepreneurs from across the Silesian Voivodeship.

Tomasz Zjawiony, President of RIG in Katowice, emphasized that Zabrze, as an industrial center with over 100 years of tradition, is an example of a local government that prioritizes the development of entrepreneurship.
– We have been working with the city ever since the Chamber was founded. This is where the heart of business, medicine, and sports beats. That is why we decided to open a branch of the Chamber in Zabrze. This is already the eighth RIG branch in the Silesian Voivodeship. I am glad that we are expanding our scope of operations – emphasized President Tomasz Zjawiony.

The inauguration of the Chamber’s Zabrze branch is another step toward building a strong business community in the city, where the Zabrze Center for Entrepreneurship Development and the Entrepreneurs’ Council under the Mayor of Zabrze are actively operating.
– For us, this is yet another incentive to take action. We invite you to collaborate with the city administration. We are open to business initiatives that lead to new jobs and the development of the local community – noted Leszek Kula, Second Deputy Mayor of Zabrze.

– The city is preparing numerous investment projects. We want to see the business district grow, but we also want to support small, local businesses. I think that thanks to the branch office, there will be a broader exchange of contacts, activities, and services, which allows us to look to the future with optimism. For its part, the city wants to prepare a skilled workforce for companies and is investing in new educational programs and career counseling – added Ewa Weber, Deputy Mayor.

Damian Cieślar has taken the helm of the new regional branch of the economic self-government body in Silesia. He is the president of the OMEGA Vocational Training Center—the most modern vocational training center in operation since 2000—as well as the president of the Silesian Association of Polish Energy Engineers.
– I want to bring the city’s business community together, and I will place a strong emphasis on developing entrepreneurs’ skills. I would like the Zabrze branch to be the largest and most dynamic – declared Damian Cieślar.

The partner for the meeting in Zabrze was DL Invest Group, a company focused on innovation and a new business model. Marcin Nowak, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, presented a case study titled: “Economic Development and Transformation: The Example of Synergies Between the IT and Real Estate Sectors”.
– As one of the three largest real estate development companies in Poland, we operate in four main areas: warehouses, offices, retail parks, and data centers. We are currently focusing on Green Energy and Data Centers, a revolutionary approach on a European scale. We are currently carrying out a mega-project in Bielsko-Biała. On the site of the former Fiat factory, one of Central Europe’s largest data centers will be built, with a target capacity of up to 200 MW. We invite startups and companies interested in an innovative technological path to collaborate with us – encouraged Marcin Nowak, COO of DL Invest Group.

The next items on the meeting’s agenda were the presentation of certificates to the Chamber’s new member companies and a dynamic moderated networking session, which continued during informal conversations over refreshments.

The next meeting of the RIG Business Club will take place on June 22, this time at Bajka Pana Kleksa in Katowice, the headquarters of an RIG member company..

We welcome the new RIG member companies in Katowice:
