Exceptional, inspiring women for remarkable and entrepreneurial women – for the sixth time the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice invited to the Pierwiastek K! This time the event was held on the eve of Women’s Day, March 7 at the Chamber’s headquarters at 15 Opolska Street.
The well-established program of the event, which consisted of motivational power speeches, consultations in the fields of education, banking, health, dietetics and beauty, speeches by special guests, an exciting knowledge quiz and social-media contest with a photo booth, make-up workshops, as well as an opportunity to get to know each other over refreshments and music – attracted nearly 140 female participants.

– I welcome female entrepreneurs, representatives of local government, science, various business-related institutions. In general, I welcome to the hospitable thresholds of the Chamber all women who inspire us – said Marlena Miąsko, Vice President and Deputy Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, organizer of the Pierwiastek K!
It is worth mentioning, that since 2021 the Woman Business HUB project has been operating at the Chamber, which was born from the initiative of the CCI and the Hana Mana LEADIT Training and Development Institute, a Chamber Member Company. Inclusivity, combining feminine and masculine energy, learning from each other and showcasing successful women to motivate and give „wind” in their wings – this is the main premise of Woman Business Hub.

During the Pierwiastek K!, the following WBH Ambassadors to date were thanked: Anna Jedynak-Rykala, Deputy Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, Urszula Koszutska, Vice Chairwoman of the Silesian Voivodeship Assembly, Beata Drzazga, Entrepreneur and Founder of BetaMed S.A, Beata Twardowska, President of the Silesian Angels Foundation, and Renia Burdaś, Owner of the Good Workshop company.

–We need a sisterly dialogue so we know who we can count on. Evolution has prepared us for competition, but times have changed and we need to work together so that we all live well. There is strength in us women – Ursula Koszutska emphasized.
– This is the time of women. There are statistically more of us, it is necessary to show this and mark our presence. Definitely more women should hold positions in management – added Anna Jedynak-Rykała.
New supporters of the Woman Business Hub idea were also welcomed. Among them for the first time was… a man. The Woman Business Hub Ambassador statue was awarded to the Mayor of Katowice, Dr. Marcin Krupa.
– You are all successful women, certainly not the weak sex, as you pursue your goals with determination. I am glad that you are organizing and contributing so much to the social and economic life of the city. Thank you for all that carries the message of the Woman Business Hub and the Element K! – Mayor Marcin Krupa emphasized .

More inspiring women have joined the ranks of WBH Ambassadors: Sonia Draga and Dr. Marta Adamczyk.
–I am active in many fields. I try to support women, teach them positive thinking and action – said Sonia Draga, entrepreneur, publisher and President of the Polish Book Chamber.
–The Katowice Business University is a woman. Most of the students and faculty are ladies. We can raise the bar really high. Since still the majority of top managers in companies are men, we want to prove that we too can reach for more – noted Dr. Marta Adamczyk, Deputy Dean of Upper Silesian Academy, after receiving the Woman Business Hub Ambassador statuette.
A regular point on the agenda of Pierwiastek K! are lectures and talks. This time in the knowledge zone – 5 tips necessary for the development of your business – was discussed by Agnieszka Pala-Jasikowska. Entrepreneur, business advisor, coach, fan of physical activity and living in harmony with yourself, she spoke, among other things, about the role of time management, motivation and strategies with the ultimate goal of building a strong brand and making your business profitable.

– Let’s remember that we can’t achieve our dream goals without energy and self-motivation, and skillful team management is essential in succeeding. Only people are able to help us achieve our goals! It is better to share knowledge and profits, in a team we can do more. Moneyis a short-distance motivator, motivation is effective at a deeper level, it should be about values and include not only the team, but ourselves – explained Agnieszka Pala-Jasikowska.
Rena Burdaś and Edyta Kwiatkowska-Pelizg, who know this topic from personal experience, talked about the idea of sisterhood and the importance of women’s alliances.
– There is a hindu proverb: Help your sister’s boat across and your own will reach the shore. We women, as turbo-social beings, need emotional support, relationships, knowledge sharing, for us the value of groups is invaluable – argued Edyta Kwiatkowska-Pelizg, a leadership and communication trainer and originator of the Woman Business Hub project.
– We use only 10% of our potential and underestimate the role of women’s solidarity, if we supported each other we would see how much strength and possibilities we have. Let’s be kind to each other, let’s build our own self-worth – appealed Regina Burdaś, Owner of Warsztat Dobra.
Much excitement among the participants of the Pierwiastek K! was excited by the opportunity to participate in a quiz on the knowledge of women associated with Katowice and our region, as well as the history of their presence in the social and political life of Silesia. Attractive prizes awaited the four authors of correct answers, who additionally gave them the fastest -!

The meeting of extraordinary women was made possible thanks to the institutions and companies supporting the event. Special partners of the event from The Katowice Business University, BNP Paribas and INGLOT presented a tailor-made offer for women.
Joanna Piętka, Director of the Advisory Center in Katowice of BNP Paribas Bank presented a comprehensive offer for female entrepreneurs, at the bank’s stand it was possible to get an answer to any question about an account open for business, additional services and products for business customers.
On the other hand, Nina Hojnowska, spokeswoman for the The Katowice Business University, stressed that at the oldest non-public university in the Silesian province, 66 percent of students and as many as 91 percent of postgraduate students are the fair sex! New and interesting educational courses, including perfumery, herbalism and photography in personal development, are sure to attract more female students to the university’s doorstep.

The INGLOT brand was introduced by Teresa Banach, Makeup Artist. The manufacturer has salons all over the world, where color cosmetics produced in Przemyśl go. INGLOT boasts sponsorship of Broadway musicals. The brand’s ambassadors operate globally, including Jennifer Lopez and Anja Rubik. Participants of the event had the opportunity to sign up and participate in makeup workshops conducted by INGLOT consultants. In addition, in the Consultation Zone, booths of other Partners and Partners of Pierwiastek K! were waiting for them!

The finale featured a Special Guest of the event. In a conversation with Edyta Kwiatkowska-Pelizg, Beata Drzazga, Entrepreneur and Owner of currently already 11 companies in Poland and abroad, talked about the recipe for fulfilling business dreams and taking on the role of a leader in her life!

– I’ve always felt a positive rebellion, not allowing blandness. It’s worth cultivating the wise courage to act and the inventor gene, and to remember that not everything always works out. Each of us has a beautiful spirituality and energy within us that we can give to our team. Most importantly, business doesn’t change us, we remain ourselves – mentioned Beata Drzazga, Ambassador of Woman Business HUB.
During Pierwiastek K! there was, of course, a charity component. Funds were collected for the charges of the Fundacja Śląskie Anioły.
An event that allows you to celebrate femininity, find inspiration and motivation, in addition to an exceptionally pleasant afternoon definitely deserves a „ten” on the scale of ratings given by the participants of the event!

– I am here for the first time, but certainly 100 percent not the last. We were in a wider representation of female employees of the company, we had a great time, we won almost all the prizes! It was delicious and inspiring. Some of the thoughts I heard I take with me and I am mega-happy that we are a Member Company of the Katowice Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice. It was one of the best events I have attended Thank you for the super-event – Agnieszka Kolanowska, Director General at Smart Solutions Poland.
– I have been attending the meetings of Pierwiastek K! series since the first edition. Every time I like it here and I have a good time. The program of each edition changes and is very interesting – Boguslawa Czerny, an entrepreneur from Bytom.
– This is my first time and I think it won’t be the last. I managed to win a prize in the quiz, and this certainly encourages more sign-ups for the event next year. I attend these types of events for women and I miss a bit the self-development workshops with topics to choose from. But for that there is delicious wine, food, good music and a wonderful atmosphere. I felt very good here – Izabela Zurek, an entrepreneur from Bytom.
