The KSSE has won the prestigious Financial Times fDi Intelligence Global Free Zones of the Year ranking for the eighth time.

In this year’s edition of the report, the Katowice Special Economic Zone was awarded as the best economic zone in Europe in two categories: Best Industrial Zone and Sustainability Leader. The fDi experts gave the KSEZ high marks for innovation and also appreciated investments in automation and robotization, research and development and renewable energy sources.

– The KSEZ’s approach to decarbonization and promotion of good governance also made it the best zone in Europe in terms of sustainability, the report’s authors wrote.

– I am extremely proud that the KSSE won first place in the Best Industrial Zone in Europe category and the title of Sustainability Leader. This confirms our strong position in Europe, both as a center of modern industry and as a leader in sustainable investment. Our activities not only attract global players, but also support local entrepreneurs, creating conditions for the development of the region’s and the country’s economy – says Dr. Rafał Żelazny – President of the KSSE Board of Directors.
