The conference „Internationalization of SMEs – Sources of Financing and Other Forms of Support” was full of inspiring presentations and discussions that shed new light on the expansion strategies of small and medium-sized enterprises to international markets. Participants from various business sectors and experts from the Ministry of Development and Technology, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, law firms, consulting firms and other institutions had the opportunity to explore key aspects of internationalization.
Dariusz Latoszek firm the Ministry of Development and Technology presented a comprehensive process for selecting a prospective market for businesses, placing particular emphasis on the analysis of macroeconomic data and industry specifics. During his presentation, participants gained an understanding of the key factors to consider when deciding whether to enter a new market, including data on GDP, inflation, exchange rates and unemployment.

Pawel Koćwin, founder of consulting firm Argo Navi Dotacje i Eksport Koćwin S.C, shared his extensive experience in advising SME companies, discussing in detail the available EU subsidies for companies in 2024. He highlighted significant changes in the 2021-2027 financial perspective, which are designed to provide greater access to funding for SME companies.
Karol Jakubaszek of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego discussed the financial aspects of supporting exports and foreign expansion, explaining the various instruments available to Polish companies. On the other hand, Tomasz Baron of the law firm TIGGES Rechtsanwälte discussed the legal aspects of expanding companies outside Poland, offering a wide range of methods for entering foreign markets.
The presentation by Michal Jóźwiak and Tomasz Tomborowski of Ebury Partners focused on forecast changes in the foreign exchange market and the offer of support for Polish entrepreneurs. In addition, participants had the opportunity to learn about the offer of the Upper Silesia Fund, which engages in business expansion in the broadest sense and supports the development of unique projects, such as the Internationalization Center.

–The event not only provided participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully conduct business in international markets, but also created a space to exchange experiences and establish valuable business contacts.
