On February 10, the first meeting this year, created especially for the owners and executives of GIS member companies in Katowice, took place in the hospitable confines of StrefArt, a gallery owned by the Katowice Special Economic Zone SA.
The event, attended by nearly 80 entrepreneurs, emphatically demonstrates that networking and relationship networking are now a key element of successful business. The series of closed meetings has become an excellent space for first conversations and cooperation – in the future finalized by successful contracts – as well as a place for the exchange of good practices and mutual support of companies, in achieving their goals.
It is a tradition of chamber events to locate meetings in new, attractive places for business. One such is the Tychy art gallery of the KSSE – a patron of culture and art. As Ewa Lipka, Vice President and Board Member of the Zone, emphasized:
– This place brings optimism, which is sorely needed by those doing business in today’s complicated times. StrefArt combines business, culture and art, which can encourage bolder action. We invite you to work with us, with our four Subzones covering most of the Silesian province. It is worthwhile to act with us and at the same time take advantage of tax benefits – said Ewa Lipka.

Marlena Miąsko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, thanked the host for his willingness to cooperate on many levels.
– The KSSE is our long-standing partner, with whom we work on economic development on many levels. One of them is building relationships and learning about the needs of entrepreneurs – emphasized Marlena Miąsko, welcoming the assembled guests.

Simon from Vivasto SA spoke about the huge jump in revenue and profit by joining the Zone. The company produces regranulates for the production of film used in packaging in agriculture and the construction industry. Products go to well-known Polish companies in the packaging industry, and more than 60 percent are exported, including to Austria and Germany.
– Thanks to the investment supported by the Gliwice Subzone, we did not have to pay PLN 2 million in tax. We plan to invest another nearly 11 million PLN in Bytom in a specialized film recycling plant. The financial support provided by the KSSE will help in the realization of the project – explained Szymon Bula, president of Vivasto SA.

The meeting program included no shortage of positive emotions, which provided a quiz with attractive prizes. In what year was the Zagłębie Theater in Sosnowiec founded, how many branches in Poland does MM Cars Service have, how long has the Whisky & Spirit brand been on the market, what is the basis of holistic therapy, which place did the KSSE take in the Financial Times ranking for the best Zones, what car did the Szejowie brothers drive when they won the 2024 Polish Rally Championship? These and other questions about the prize sponsors were answered by the quiz participants, and there was a lot to fight for. Fifteen scoring spots were prepared, and the main prize was a rally ride in the passenger seat, alongside champion Jaroslaw Szejia of the GK Forge LOTTO Rally Team.

Another item on the event’s agenda was a dynamic round of introductions by participants (presenting their company during a 30-second presentation), followed by a networking session over refreshments and in the unique setting of the “Art of Optimism” exhibition of paintings, organized by Iwona Szoka, president of the Opus Unicus Foundation, which is among the Chamber’s Member Companies.

– Art unites people with open hearts and wide horizons. It carries a message of optimism, allows respite from everyday life, and its power is worth appreciating – commented Iwona Szoka, president of the Opus Unicus Foundation.

Such power is also given by the meetings of the Chamber’s Member Companies, thanks to the involvement of the participants, one can spend valuable and pleasant time among entrepreneurs.
As emphasized, Janusz Dramski, the first president of the RIG, leading the meeting – the role of networking cannot be overestimated.
– We are the largest institution of economic self-government in Poland and we don’t intend to stop there, we invite you to follow our communication channels to stay up to date with the Chamber’s plans and projects,” encouraged Janusz Dramski, the first president of the RIG in Katowice.

The event also included the welcoming of new entrepreneurs who received membership certificates, thus the Chamber’s membership already numbers more than 650 companies. The next meeting of RIG “club members” has been scheduled for March 24.
