THE LAURELS OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCE
The economic environment gathered at the CCI in Katowice decided to award laurels to outstanding people, outstanding companies, organizations and institutions that actively and effectively joined the process of creating a market economy, its restructuring and adaptation to European standards.
Subsequent editions expand their reach toward a united Europe and the world. Historical changes in the political and economic spheres require giving new prominence to entrepreneurs, executives, politicians, diplomats, people of science and culture.
- Janusz Steinhoff, engineer and politician. Between 1997 and 2001 Minister of Economy, and between 2000 and 2001 Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers in the government of Jerzy Buzek, member of the Sejm of the tenth, first and third terms.
- Dr. h. c. multi Franciszek Kokot – belonged to a small group of the most outstanding Polish scholars of international renown.
