Build a Polish-American dialogue with us

American Day 2023: Think big! is the sixth edition of the annual event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice. Together we will meet on October 5 at Opolska 15!

The goal of the event is to promote partnership relations between the United States and Poland, to learn about each other’s investment opportunities, to engage in dialogue and open up to cooperation representatives of the SME sector in both countries. Participation in the event guarantees reliable and practical knowledge, Polish-American networking, discussions on US economic changes, meetings with American culture, workshop activities. Experts will address topics such as: Polish-American cooperation in economic exchange, scientific cooperation and technology development, prospects for Polish and American investments and support opportunities for entrepreneurs, legal and tax aspects of doing business in the US, culture and cultural communication in the US, and export marketing.

Participation in the event is free of charge. Registration is required.

Schedule of the event

9:30 am -10:00 am – registration of participants

10:00 am -10:30 am – introduction

10:30 am -02:30 pm – plenary sessions (3 x 1h10 min. each), including 2 coffee breaks;

1: Polish-American cooperation in economic exchange, scientific cooperation and technology development – panel discussion with the moderator;

2: Prospects for Polish and U.S. investment and support opportunities for entrepreneurs – panel discussion with the moderator;

3: Legal aspects of doing business in the U.S. (including entrepreneur’s environmental, ESG obligations) – speech/lecture;

02:45 pm-04:30 pm – networking session with refreshments (American style lunch);

03:15 pm -05:15 pm – workshop I, II (at the same time)*;

05:15 pm -07:15 pm – workshop I, II;
