Between 11th and 16th May 2018, world business will settle in Silesia. This year, the leaders of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance are going to visit Poland for the first time. The visit of several tens of entrepreneurs from the largest organizations of entrepreneurs from 20 major world’s economies in Katowice, is an event to forecast the European Congress of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises - the largest networking and knowledge-offering meeting of the SME sector in Europe, and one of the largest in the world, to be held between 17th and 19th October 2018, at the International Congress Centre, already for the eighth time.
- The leaders of the G20 YEA have been invited to Europe for this year’s working meeting by YES for Europe the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs from Brussels (YES for Europe represents the area of the European Union in G20 YEA) and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Katowice, which as an organization representing Poland in YES for Europe, offered to organize the G20 YEA meeting in Katowice, by taking the role of a host of this exquisite event in our country - remarks Janusz Dramski, Vice-president of the Chamber.
The aim of this meeting is to prepare the global G20 YEA 2018 summit in Buenos Aires in the second half of September 2018, and to develop a draft document which shall be adapted there and submitted to the leaders of the G20 countries, during the autumn summit in Argentina. Katowice will welcome e.g. the president of the representatives from Argentina in G20 YEA, Bruno Sanguinetti, who is actually responsible for the preparation of the global G20 YEA summit.
- the G20 YEA is a global network of organizations associating young entrepreneurs, representing them before the G20 authorities and enabling international economic cooperation. The Polish G20 YEA meeting in May will be an exquisite event, because it is held in the territory of the EU, however in a country which is not a G20 member. In this perspective, it is an unprecedented event, which is doubtlessly going to contribute to the economic promotion of Silesia and Poland in the global arena - concludes Przemysław Grzywa, Director General of YES for Europe the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs from Brussels.
The co-hosts of this event are: The Voivodeship of Silesia, the GZM Metropolis, the City of Katowice and the City of Zabrze, and its program also assumes showing Silesia as an example of a region which has been successfully transformed from the era of industrial economy to a modern one, at the same time keeping its identity and memory of the dynamic development of the 19th and 20th centuries, by investing in e.g. post-industrial facilities.
The May visit is an opportunity to get access to organizations gathering totally half a million of companies from 20 largest global economies. Silesia and Poland is going to be experienced by e.g. the representatives of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (USA), Futurpreneur (Canada), Opora Russia (Russia), Conaje (Brazil), Foundation for Young Australians (Australia), Young Indians (India), Coparmex (Mexico). The organizers announce already today, that they want to enchant the participants of this event by not the economic potential of our country itself, and on this grounds to build long-term relations with organizations of entrepreneurs and with entrepreneurs of the G20, so that they come back to us with their economic missions and investments.
